DEU 20:8. And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house, lest his brethren's heart faint as well as his heart.

JDG 7:3. Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.

ACT 20:28. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

ACT 20:29. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

ACT 20:30. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

1COR 5:6. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

1COR 5:7. Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

2PE 2:18. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

2PE 2:19. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

B. They cannot be trusted or depended upon:

PSA 78:57. But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

PRO 25:19. Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.

PRO 23:7. For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

GAL 2:4. And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
