2CH 7:14. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. PSA 41:4. I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. PSA 51:3. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. PSA 84:10. For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. PSA 119:176. I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments. JER 14:7. O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee. JER 24:7. And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart. EZE 36:31. Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. HOS 6:1. Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. LUK 15:19. And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. LUK 15:21. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. JOB 40:1. Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said, JOB 40:2. Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it. JOB 40:3. Then Job answered the LORD, and said, JOB 40:4. Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth. JOB 40:5. Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further. JOB 42:1. Then Job answered the LORD, and said, JOB 42:2. I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. JOB 42:3. Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. JOB 42:4. Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. JOB 42:5. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. JOB 42:6. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. PSA 51:1. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. PSA 51:2. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. PSA 51:3. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. PSA 51:4. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. PSA 51:5. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. PSA 51:6. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. PSA 51:7. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. PSA 51:8. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. PSA 51:9. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. PSA 51:10. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. PSA 51:11. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. PSA 51:12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. PSA 51:13. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. PSA 51:14. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. PSA 51:15. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. PSA 51:16. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. PSA 51:17. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. PSA 51:18. Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. PSA 51:19. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar. DAN 9:3. And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: DAN 9:4. And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; DAN 9:5. We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: DAN 9:6. Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. DAN 9:7. O LORD, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee. DAN 9:8. O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee. DAN 9:9. To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him; DAN 9:10. Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets. DAN 9:11. Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him. DAN 9:12. And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem. DAN 9:13. As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. DAN 9:14. Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice. DAN 9:15. And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly. DAN 9:16. O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us. DAN 9:17. Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake. DAN 9:18. O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies. DAN 9:19. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name. DAN 9:20. And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God; JAM 4:6. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. JAM 4:7. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. JAM 4:8. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. JAM 4:9. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. JAM 4:10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. |
