  • A. God's people often blessed with easy childbirth:

    EXO 1:19. And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.

    ISA 66:7. Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

    B. God can help in the delivery:

    PSA 22:9. But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.

    PSA 71:6. By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.

    ISA 46:3. Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:

    C. Promises to claim during long labour:

    ISA 65:23. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.

    ISA 66:9. Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.

    JOH 16:21. A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

    HEB 11:11. Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

    D. Promises for strength:

    ISA 40:29. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

    ISA 40:30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

    ISA 40:31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

    ISA 41:10. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

    E. Conditions for claiming God's promises:

    DAN 6:16. Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

    1TI 2:15. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
