1TIM 6:20. O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: 2TIM 3:7. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. PSA 14:1. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. ISA 44:24. Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; ISA 44:25. That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; JER 2:27. Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us. JER 8:9. The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them? ROM 1:21. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. ROM 1:22. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, ROM 1:23. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. ROM 1:25. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 1COR 1:18. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1COR 1:19. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 1COR 1:20. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 1COR 1:21.
