  • A. We are saved by faith:

JOH 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

JOH 3:36. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

LUK 7:47. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

LUK 7:48. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

LUK 7:49. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

LUK 7:50. And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

ACT 10:43. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

ACT 16:31. And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

ROM 5:1. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

GAL 3:26. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

EPH 2:8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

EPH 2:9. Not of works, lest any man should boast.

EPH 3:17. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

1PE 1:9. Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

    B. We must live by faith:

GAL 2:20. I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

HEB 10:38. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

ROM 1:17. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

1JOH 5:4. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

    C. We cannot please God without faith:

HEB 11:6. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

ROM 14:23. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

    D. Faith gives us the strength to keep going:

PSA 27:13. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

ROM 11:20. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

2COR 4:16. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

    2COR 4:17. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

2COR 4:18. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
