B. The qualities that genuine love will have:

1COR 8:1. Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

1COR 13:4. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1COR 13:6. Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

1JOH 4:18. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

EPH 4:16. From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

PHI 2:1. If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

PHI 2:2. Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

D. Real love will not give up or fail:

1COR 13:4. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1COR 13:7. Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1COR 13:8. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
