9. Divorce, remarriage, marital infidelity & forgiveness:

(Regarding the Scriptures on divorce remarriage infidelity & forgiveness there are such wide differences of opinion interpretation & application between leading Christian theologians & denominations today the editors felt it best to refrain from outlining them here in order to avoid appearing dogmatic about such a sensitive & personal issue. Some churches believe that the New Testament forbids divorce & remarriage in any form. Others feel that the passages in question are to be applied as guidelines tempered with love mercy understanding & judicial allowances.

There are many sincere Christians on both sides of the fence so the editors felt that the task of doctrinally defining this point was best left to the reader's personal faith & conviction. "Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind." ROM 14:5.
