5. Jesus' example of obedience: |
  |
LUK 22:42. Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this
cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
MAT 26:39. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my
Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as
thou wilt.
MAT 26:42. He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this
cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
JOH 5:30. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is
just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
JOH 14:31. But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave
me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
PHI 2:7. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant,
and was made in the likeness of men:
PHI 2:8. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient
unto death, even the death of the cross.
HEB 5:8. Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he
suffered. |
