A. Be in a constant attitude of prayer:1CH 16:11. Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. PRO 3:6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. LUK 18:1. And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; LUK 21:36. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 1TH 5:17. Pray without ceasing. EPH 6:18. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; B. Pray in time of special need:PSA 50:15. And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. PSA 27:8. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. PSA 107:19. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. HEB 4:16. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. JAM 5:13. Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. 2CH 14:11. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; PSA 119:147. I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word. PRO 8:17. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. MAR 1:35. And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. D. Evening prayer:MAR 6:46. And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray. MAR 6:47. And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land. GEN 24:63. And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming. PSA 55:17. E. Prayer in the night:LAM 2:19. Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street. PSA 42:8. Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. PSA 63:5. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: PSA 63:6. When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. ISA 26:9. With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. LUK 6:12. And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. ACT 16:25.
