1. What does God think about pride? |

A. He hates it:
PRO 6:16. These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
PRO 6:17. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
PRO 16:5. Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
B. We should hate it too:
PRO 8:13. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
C. Pride is a sin not a virtue:
PRO 21:4. An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
HAB 2:4. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
1JOH 2:16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
