A. The Lord delivers His saved children who trust Him:2SA 8:6. Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went. PSA 37:28. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. PSA 37:40. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. PSA 91:9. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; PSA 91:10. There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 2TI 4:18. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. B. The Lord loves favours & will protect you:DEU 33:12. And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. 2SA 22:20. He brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me. JOB 1:10. Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. PSA 17:8. Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings, PSA 17:9. From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. PSA 41:11. By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. PSA 56:9. When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. PSA 91:7. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. PSA 105:12. When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. PSA 105:13. When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; PSA 105:14. He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; PSA 105:15. But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God. PSA 125:2. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. C. He is always close by to protect you:GEN 28:15. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. PSA 109:31. For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul. D. The Lord's guardian angels protect you:PSA 34:7. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. PSA 91:11. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. PSA 91:12. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. ISA 63:9. In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. DAN 3:28. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. DAN 6:20. And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? DAN 6:22. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. EXO 14:19. And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: EXO 14:20. And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. EXO 23:20. Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. 2KI 6:15. And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 2KI 6:16. And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 2KI 6:17. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 2CH 32:20. And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven. 2CH 32:21. And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword. 2KI 19:35. And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. ACT 5:19. But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, ACT 12:6. And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. ACT 12:7. And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. ACT 12:8. And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. ACT 12:9. And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. ACT 12:10. When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. E. Rest in the Lord trusting God to protect you:EXO 14:14. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. EXO 33:14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. PSA 112:7. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. PSA 112:8. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. PSA 118:6. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? PSA 118:7. The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. F. Thank the Lord for protecting you:PSA 5:11. But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. PSA 28:7. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. PSA 59:16. But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. PSA 59:17. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy. PSA 98:1. O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. |
