A. God heals & restores our souls:

PSA 23:2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

PSA 23:3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

MAL 4:2. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

2COR 4:16. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

EPH 4:23. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

B. He gives us joy:

PSA 5:11. But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

PSA 16:11. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

PSA 40:16. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.

PSA 51:12. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

NEH 8:10. Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

1PE 1:8. Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

C. He gives us spiritual strength:

ISA 40:29. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

ISA 40:30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

ISA 40:31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

ISA 41:1. Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment.

ISA 30:7. For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.

ISA 30:15. For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.

DAN 11:32. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

JDG 5:31. So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

EPH 3:16. That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

PSA 138:3. In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

COL 1:9. For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

COL 1:11. Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

D. He gives us rest in the Spirit:

EXO 33:14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

1KI 8:56. Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

MAT 11:28. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

MAT 11:29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

MAT 11:30. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

E. When we take time to love Him He loves us:

PRO 8:17. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

JOH 14:21. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

JOH 14:23. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

JOH 16:27. For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

F. Other benefits of loving the Lord:

DEU 30:16. In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

PSA 91:14. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

PSA 119:132. Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

PSA 145:20. The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

PRO 8:21. That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

EPH 6:24. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen

1COR 8:3. But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

JAM 1:12. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

2TIM 4:8. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

DEU 11:13. And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

DEU 11:14. That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.

DEU 11:15. And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.

DEU 11:22. For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

DEU 11:23. Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
