2. Trust in the Lord not your own strength:

A. Let God strengthen you with His strength:

EPH 6:10. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

2CH 20:12. O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

PSA 20:7. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

PSA 20:8. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

PSA 84:5. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.

PSA 105:4. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

ISA 26:4. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

2COR 3:4. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

2COR 3:5. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

PHI 3:3. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

EXO 15:2. The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

2SA 22:33. God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

PSA 27:1. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

PSA 68:28. Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

PSA 68:35. O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

PSA 118:8. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

PSA 147:10. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

PSA 147:11. The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

B. He can do what you can't do:

ZEC 4:6. Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

1SA 2:9. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

PSA 60:11. Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

PSA 127:1. Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

JOH 15:5. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

JOB 9:19. If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?

PSA 33:16. There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

PSA 33:17. An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

C. Do what you can but success depends on God:

PRO 21:31. The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

NEH 4:14. And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
