EXO 6:9. And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

RTH 1:20. And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.

RTH 1:21. I went out full and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?

JOB 2:7. So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

JOB 2:8. And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.

JOB 2:9. Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

PRO 24:10. If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

JER 15:18. Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

PRO 18:14. The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

LAM 3:39. Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
