NUM 11:21. And Moses said, The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand footmen; and thou hast said, I will give them flesh, that they may eat a whole month. NUM 11:22. Shall the flocks and the herds be slain for them, to suffice them? or shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to suffice them? NUM 11:23. And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not. 2KI 4:1. Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. 2KI 4:2. And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. 2KI 4:3. Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. 2KI 4:4. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. 2KI 4:5. So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. 2KI 4:6. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. A. Food:EXO 16:12. I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God. EXO 16:13. And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. EXO 16:14. And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. EXO 16:15. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. NUM 11:18. And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat. NUM 11:19. Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days; NUM 11:20. But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised the LORD which is among you, and have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt? NUM 11:31. And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth. NUM 11:32. And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp. PSA 78:23. Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, PSA 78:24. And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven. PSA 78:25. Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full. PSA 78:26. He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind. PSA 78:27. He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea: PSA 78:28. And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations. PSA 78:29. So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire; PSA 105:40. The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. PSA 132:15. I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread. 1KI 17:4. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. 1KI 17:16. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah. 1KI 19:5. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. 1KI 19:6. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. 1KI 19:7. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. 1KI 19:8. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God. 2KI 4:42. And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat. 2KI 4:43. And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof. MAR 6:34. And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. MAR 6:35. And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: MAR 6:36. Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. MAR 6:37. He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat? MAR 6:38. He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes. MAR 6:39. And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. MAR 6:40. And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. MAR 6:41. And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. MAR 6:42. And they did all eat, and were filled. MAR 6:43. And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes. MAR 6:44. And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men. MAR 8:1. In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them, MAR 8:2. I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: MAR 8:3. And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far. MAR 8:4. And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? MAR 8:5. And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven. MAR 8:6. And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people. MAR 8:7. And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them. MAR 8:8. So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets. MAR 8:9. And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away. REV 12:6. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. REV 12:14. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. PSA 23:5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. LUK 5:4. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. LUK 5:5. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. LUK 5:6. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. LUK 5:7. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. JOH 21:5. Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. JOH 21:6. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. JOH 21:11. Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. B. Water:GEN 21:14. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba. GEN 21:15. And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs. GEN 21:16. And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. GEN 21:17. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. GEN 21:18. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. GEN 21:19. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. EXO 17:1. And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink. EXO 17:2. Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD? EXO 17:3. And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst? EXO 17:4. And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me. EXO 17:5. And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go. EXO 17:6. Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. NUM 20:2. And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron. NUM 20:7. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, NUM 20:8. Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. NUM 20:9. And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. NUM 20:10. And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? NUM 20:11. And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. JDG 15:15. And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith. JDG 15:16. And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men. JDG 15:17. And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that place Ramathlehi. JDG 15:18. And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised? JDG 15:19. But God clave an hollow place that was in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which is in Lehi unto this day. 2KI 3:9. So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom: and they fetched a compass of seven days' journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them. 2KI 3:17. For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts. 2KI 3:20. And it came to pass in the morning, when the meat offering was offered, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water. PSA 78:15. He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. PSA 78:16. He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers. PSA 105:41. He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. ISA 41:17. When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. ISA 41:18. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. C. God can even purify impure food & water:EXO 15:23. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. EXO 15:24. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? EXO 15:25. And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, 2KI 2:19. And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren. 2KI 2:20. And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. 2KI 2:21. And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land. 2KI 2:22. So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake. 2KI 4:38. And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets. 2KI 4:39. And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not. 2KI 4:40. So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof. 2KI 4:41. But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot. MAR 16:18. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. D. Clothing & other necessities:DEU 29:5. And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot. MAT 6:25. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? MAT 6:26. Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? MAT 6:30. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? GEN 3:21. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. |
