DEU 32:46. And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law. DEU 32:47. For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it. PSA 138:2. I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. A. Jesus is the Word Made Flesh:JOH 1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. JOH 1:14. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. REV 19:11. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. REV 19:12. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. REV 19:13. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 1JOH 1:1. That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; B. The power of the Word:JOH 6:63. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. PSA 33:6. By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. PSA 33:9. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. ROM 1:16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. HEB 11:3. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 2PE 3:5. Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 2PE 3:7. But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. |
